Brittany Ragon

Hospitality is not about the size of your space or wallet but about the ways you use your space and resources for the betterment of your family and all who come into your home.

ABOUT ME

I’m Brittany Ragon. I am a wife to one, a homeschool mama to 6, and a follower of Jesus Christ. I have a passion for creating a beautiful home design in a way that’s functional for the family in it.

When my husband, John, and I were married in 2010, we moved into a tiny 450-sq.-ft., one-bedroom apartment in the upper garage of some friends’ house. We made amazing memories in that tiny space and multiple times piled dozens of people into it for dinner parties and game nights. A year later, we moved across town to a 900-sq.-ft., two-bedroom apartment where we resided for the next 8 years — growing our family from two to five. When pregnant with our fourth child, we decided it was time to increase our borders, and we found ourselves moving into a 2,400-sq.-ft. farmhouse built in the early 1900s.

Now we are making that house a home in a way that functions for our growing family of eight. I enjoying making changes in our home and keeping our rooms fresh to make the most ofthe space we have.

But no matter how the size of our space varied, I was passionate and intentional about three things — a beautiful home; a functional space; and a hospitable atmosphere.

I’m so thankful you stopped here for a visit. I hope you find those same three characteristics in these pages and are encouraged to branch out and try them in your own space.
