A Room for Boys

I’m always rethinking the spaces in my home — Does that bookshelf still work? Is everyone in the right room? Should we convert that landing to a nursery (yea, did that too). I’m a firm believer that a designated space in a home doesn’t have to stay the same.

When we moved into our home five years ago, we set up our primary bedroom in the largest downstairs room, leaving the smaller downstairs room for our homeschool room. I quickly realized this setup didn’t meet our family’s needs. So we made the change, and switched the rooms, and it has gloriously served our family.

Now we are in a new setup where our family has continued to grow, and we need to make changes again by switching our girls’ shared room and our boys’ shared room (so three boys will have the bigger room compared to two girls).

I get excited about making these changes, even though it can be a lot of work. And part of the work is dreaming up color schemes, finding products I have (or need to buy), and making mood boards for what I want the final product to look like.

Some things I’m mulling over for this project include: (Amazon affiliate links)

  6. Blanket, $20
  7. Dresser, $230
